Owners distressed by alpaca thefts at Old Dalby

Two rare breed alpacas have been stolen from a paddock at Old Dalby, leaving the owners distressed.

Police are investigating the theft, which took place between 4.30pm on Wednesday November 4 and 8.30am the following morning.

The animals, which are called Oli and Bryony, are rare breed Suri and Huacaya alpacas.

A spokesperson for Melton Police said: “This is a very distressing time for the owners so if anyone saw anything suspicious at these times or they have any CCTV footage on Station Road, Old Dalby, we would ask them to please get in touch with us.”
