Melton woman found guilty of stealing cigarettes

A 46-year-old Melton woman has been found guilty of stealing cigarettes on four occasions from a town newsagents by Loughborough magistrates.

Joanne Gardner, of 13 Elms Road, was accused of the theft, to a value of £23.96, at the Mercury News shop in Sherrard Street.

She was remanded on unconditional bail until March 14 and the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be produced.
