Melton man jailed for drugs and weapon offences
Syed Hasnobee (36), of Sherrard Street, received a three-year sentence at Leicester Crown Court yesterday after pleading guilty to the offences at an earlier hearing in April.
The charges relate to Hasnobee being stopped by officers in Melton on three occasions between January and April where he was found in possession of drugs, some for personal use and some with the intent to deal and, on occasion, a knuckle duster and a pocket knife.

He also pleaded guilty to three charges relating to possession of Class A drugs, involving heroin (March 22) and both crack cocaine and MDMA on April 8.
There was also one count of possession with intent to supply of a class C prescription drug also on April 8.
PC Davey Rawlings from the Melton neighbourhood policing team, said: “Despite being stopped by officers a number of times in possession of drugs, Hasnobee continued to flout the law and carried on with the intention to deal.

“And those who commit such offences will be put before the courts to be held accountable for the crimes they commit.”
