Hide AdPolice made the arrests after a six-month intelligence-led operation into metal thefts from 22 churches across Lincolnshire between the 1 January and 24 September, last year.
The Grade Two listed St James the Greater Church at Little Dalby was also targeted by lead thieves between 23 and 26 August, 2011.
Two other men from Lincoln denied the charge of conspiracy and a sixth man denied a charge of handling stolen lead. They will go on trial later this summer.
