The deaths of Asfordby teenager Leah Reek and four other people killed in a explosion in February are now being treated as murder.

Three men had alread been charged with arson with intent to endanger life and manslaughter following the devastating incident, which destroyed a polish supermarket and a two-storey apartment above it in Leicester.

And Aram Kurd (34), of Hillary Place, Leicester, Hawkar Hassan (32), of Eld Road, Coventry and 37-year-old Arkan Ali, of Drake Close, Oldham, were eached charged with five counts of murder when they appeared at Leicester Crown Court on Friday.

Leah, who was 18, was killed alongside her boyfriend, Shane Ragoobeer, who was also 18, his brother, Sean (17) and their mother, Mary Ragoobeer (46).

The other victim was 22-year-old Viktorija Ijevlev, who is thought to have been working in the shop at the time of the blast, on the evening of February 25.
