A leading leisure venue in the Melton area has appointed a new head chef to lead its 25-strong team charged with catering for guests all year round.
Bosses at Ragdale Hall Spa has appointed Martin Carter as its new executive head chef.
Mr Carter was previously executive head chef for the luxury holiday provider Viking Cruises and has also had similar roles with resorts and hotel groups around the world.
He said: “Food has always been a great passion of mine.
“I’m absolutely delighted to join the team at Ragdale Hall where, having spent many years overseas experimenting with different flavours and cuisine, I hope to bring some of my experience to the menu.
Mr Carter added: “I have a great foundation from which to start and moving forward plan to build on the offering for guests by introducing new flavours, trends and creative techniques, and developing the team within.”
The team is responsible for delivering high-end cuisine to spa diners for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 365 days a year.
Ragdale’s managing director David Hamdorff said: “We pride ourselves on the high standard of cuisine we deliver to our guests – whether they dine with us for a day, an evening, two nights or two weeks.
“While the days of strict calorie-controlled meals have long been a thing of the past at Ragdale Hall, as a world-renown health spa we are dedicated to delivering an innovative menu of healthy and balanced options.
Mr Hamdorff added: “With a vast amount of experience and expertise to draw upon, we’re very excited about the future of the Spa’s culinary offering with Martin at the helm.”
