Melton’s new £100K play park to open on Friday
A launch party will be held at the site, The Queen Elizabeth II Fields Play Close park, at 1pm.
New equipment including climbing frames, roundabouts, and zip wires which promote a more diverse range of play, are included at the new facility, which was funded by a £100,000 grant from FCC Communities Foundation.

John Southerington, of Melton Town Estate, which collaborated with Melton Borough Council, Melton BID and Romaney Fugill Memorial Fund on the scheme, said: “This vital facility is going to make a real difference to those who use it, as well as the wider community of Melton Mowbray.”
