Melton Ramblers prepare for busy June programme including Peak District walk
Members of Melton Mowbray Ramblers head to Castle Bytham on Saturday for the first walk in their busy June programme.
The ramble is eight to nine miles with participants asked to meet at the Castle entrance at the bottom of the Water Lane/Glen Road junction at 9.30am.
On Saturday June 13, Knossington is the destination over 10 miles. Meet at the Fox and Hounds (LE15 8LY) at 9.30am.
Wymondham will be the location for a ramble on Wednesday June 17 over four miles.
Please meet at the Berkeley Arms (LE14 2AG) at 10am – there will be a coffee stop.
Then it is off to the Dark Peak District on Saturday June 20 for a 14-mile ramble.
Walkers are asked to meet at Grid reference: SK 17335 89167 – nearest postcode is S33 0AQ – at 9.30am.
This a strenuous all-day walk and please bring a picnic.
Church Lane at Hungarton is the meeting place at 9.30am on Saturday June 27 for a 7.5-mile ramble.
