Visitors enjoyed strolling around the 3/4 acre garden, owned by new owner Alison Blythe, which was filled with blue cedar trees and an excellent specimen tulip tree.

Parts of the garden are original and others reinstated with a variety of plants and bushes. There is an original bog garden and natural pond, reinstated in 2015 along with a Koi pond added in 2015. Parts of the garden are left uncultivated with wild cowslips and grasses.

Organiser, Alison was delighted with the amount of people who attended on the day, she said: “It was absolute non-stop. Lots of people attended, it was a very good afternoon.

“There were a couple of showers, but everyone still stayed to enjoy the garden.”

The next open garden will be on Sunday, October 23, from 11am to 4pm. There will be light refreshments and admission is £2.50, children free.
