Bidders from across the world bid for Burton Lazars country house auction lots
Hansons reported huge interest this week in the sale of antique furniture and ornaments from The Old Hall at Burton Lazars.
A large George III Blue John Campana vase sold for £2,900 and a Staffordshire blue and white covered vase and bowl went for £1,800.

Hide AdStatement garden pieces proved particularly popular with a pair of Corinthian carved limestone capitals, which are thought to be Roman, selling for £1,700.
Charles Hanson, owner of Hansons Auctioneers, said: “This sale exceeded all expectations and showed the desire to own items from a quintessentially English country house has enduring appeal, especially among Americans and Canadians who flocked to place bids online.”
