Taken over in 2020 by Chris and Kirsty, the Plough Inn offers a great mix of traditional pub values with a modern twist.

As soon as you walk in you are made to feel welcome, whether you arrive with friends, family or even just your dog.

The food on offer includes delicious home-cooked classics with a daily specials board – every Monday is pie day all day, where you get a delicious homemade pie and drink for £12.50, there is a kid’s menu where children eat for just £4 and of course there are the classic roasts on a Sunday.

You can quench your thirst at The Plough with a choice of five hand pulls and five craft beers with a mix of local and national breweries on tap. If you choose the right weekend, you may well be lucky enough to stumble across a beer festival.

The Plough’s interior has a fresh feel where each room has its own personality, all with a laid-back feel, where you could easily spend hours on end setting the world to rights. Outside there is a big garden with a kids play area and further back is a small campsite available for tents, campervans or you can hire the space for an event.

The area is great for walkers and cyclists alike, with the roads of the Vale of Belvoir and the Grantham canal on the pub’s doorstep and with muddy boots always welcome it is the perfect stop for the beginning, end or middle of a journey.

Chris and Kirsty are big fans of live music so there is generally something lined up with local artists coming down to entertain the crowd as well as plenty of events throughout the year and a weekly quiz every Thursday. Keep an eye on the Plough Inn’s website to find out what is coming up.
