Family fun lined up for '˜Love Your Parks'
People of all ages are invited to enjoy and discover the town centre parks on Saturday. There are some stunning new flower bed arrangements and visitors are encouraged to take a look at three new ‘interpretation boards,’ recently installed in Egerton Lodge Memorial Garden, to remember fallen servicemen.
An Americas themed carnival will be present as Melton Chilli Fiesta will also be in full swing.

Hide AdSunday, July 24 - A performance by the Nottingham Concert Band in New Park, at 2.45pm to 4.30pm. Refreshments available at the Pavilion cafe.
Monday, July 25 and Wednesday 27 - Sporting facilities open in Wilton Park, including tennis and five-a-side football, and crazy golf will be free all day to visitors. Book at the Pavilion Cafe to avoid disappointment.
Friday, July 29 - Teddy bears’ picnic in Wilton Park, at 2pm to 4pm. Bring a teddy and a picnic for an afternoon of fun and games. Activities will include a bouncy castle, get the football past the goalie game, train rides, egg and spoon races , sack races, mums’ and dads’ races and poster colouring.
Melton Fire and Rescue Service will bring their fire engine and Melton Police will bring one of their multi-purpose police cars. Refreshments available at at the Pavilion cafe and there’ll be lots of giveaways.
