Popular former Melton teacher's life to be celebrated after her sudden passing
Family members and friends will pay their last respects next week to popular former Melton Mowbray teacher, Elizabeth Snow.
Liz, as friends and loved ones knew her, sadly passed away suddenly on September 21, aged 74.

She was husband to Haydn for over 51 years, the mother to Matthew and Caroline, grandmother to James and sister to Helen.
Liz, whose maiden name was Pritchett, taught in Melton for over 30 years at Sarson High School and King Edward VII Upper School, teaching PE, dance, drama and special needs.

Haydn told the Melton Times: “We both taught at Sarson High School where we met.
"We then both taught at King Edward VII Upper School.
"It certainly helped that we were in the same profession.”
He added: “She was a very creative person and she loved to see students achieve in artistic areas to the best of their ability as well as performing well in more academic areas.”
Born in Shaftesbury, in Dorset, she was a keen gardener and enjoyed attending the theatre and cinema with both family and friends.
Liz was a keen golfer and involved herself in all aspects at Melton Mowbray Golf Club, where she held the role of lady captain, ladies’ competition secretary and she was also the club’s first lady president.
She will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held at Rushcliffe Oaks Crematorium, near Nottingham, on October 23 at 10.45am, where attendees are asked to ‘wear a splash of colour’.
