New education and wellbeing centre opens for children and young people
A new education and wellbeing centre is opening in Melton Mowbray to offer small-group tuition to children aged from as young as four up to 16-year-olds.
The Newton Centre, on Burton Street, aims to support both neurotypical learners and those with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, and anxiety.

Staff will be using a personalised learning system driven by artificial intelligence (AI) with a strong focus on supporting wellbeing and building the confidence of young people.
A spokesperson for The Newton Centre said: “Every child is different, and education should reflect that.

"By combining human teaching with intelligent technology, we can deliver a much more personalised and effective learning experience.”
Organisers of the new service say that what sets it apart is its proprietary AI-powered learning platform, which was developed in-house and which adapts to each child’s individual needs, interests, and learning style.
Unlike traditional one-size-fits-all teaching methods, they say, the system personalises content in real time, helping children stay engaged while targeting specific gaps in understanding.
The platform can generate tailored questions, track progress, and adjust difficulty dynamically, creating a highly individualised learning journey for every child.

This technology is supported by human guidance, ensuring that children benefit from both intelligent systems and experienced educators, according to The Newton Centre.
In addition, they offer evidence-based screening, developed in collaboration with SEIK Psychiatry, helping to identify underlying learning and developmental needs early.
The Newton Centre is now welcoming enquiries and looks forward to becoming a key part of the Melton community.
