Organiser, Sarah Robb, the founder of the town’s health and fitness organisation Big Bums and Little Bums, wants to showcase a wide range of local fitness and wellbeing opportunities and encourage more people to try something new in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment.

The festival will feature a variety of class styles, from dance fitness and yoga to strength-based sessions and wellbeing-focused activities, with something to suit both complete beginners and regular class-goers.

As well as celebrating movement and community, the event will also support good causes, with money raised going to Melton Community First Responders, Rainbows and Step Change Education Trust.

Sarah said: "We have so many amazing instructors, classes and gyms in and around Melton, and this is a chance to bring them together for one exciting day.

“We’re treating this as our first year and a real starting point, a chance to learn, grow and create something that can become part of the events calendar in Melton for years to come.”

Melton Fitness Festival will take place across two main venues – Trevonne Stage School and Steelyard Gym, which are both on North Street – as well as Aurae Reformer in Church Street.
