A community charity calendar has raised over £1,000, helping to push the total GoFundMe fundraiser for young Nazario to more than £3,500, with just £500 remaining to reach the final target for his specialist wheelchair.

The Bare for Nazario calendar project, supported by local women from across Melton and the surrounding areas, was created to raise funds for Nazario, whose family has been fundraising to secure essential mobility equipment that will significantly improve his independence and day-to-day life.

Thanks to calendar sales, donations, and ongoing community support, the fundraiser has gathered strong momentum in recent weeks, bringing it within touching distance of its goal.

Organiser Estelle Keeber said the response from the local community has been overwhelming.

“When we first came up with the idea of the calendar, we hoped it would raise some funds and awareness, but seeing it go past £1,000 has been incredible. It really shows what can happen when people come together and get behind something that truly matters.”

The calendar was designed as a celebration of community, confidence, and collective action, with contributors volunteering their time to support the cause. Every penny raised from calendar sales has gone directly towards Nazario’s fundraising total.

Estelle added that reaching the overall figure of more than £3,500 feels especially significant.

“Knowing we’re now just £500 away from the final target is emotional. This wheelchair will make a real difference to Nazario’s life, and the fact that so many people have played a part in getting us this close is something we’re incredibly grateful for.”

With the fundraiser nearing its goal, supporters are being encouraged to continue sharing the campaign and donating where possible to help push it over the finish line.

“We’re so close now. Even small donations or sharing the fundraiser online can help us get over that last hurdle and make this happen for Nazario.”

The fundraiser remains open, with donations still being accepted via the GoFundMe page.
