Fundraising ball to be held for Dove Cottage Day Hospice
A fundraising ball is being held next month to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dove Cottage Day Hospice opening.
Tickets are on sale for the event, which is at The Courtyard Barns, in Wartnaby, on Saturday May 30, with proceeds going to the Stathern-based hospice.

Attendees are promised ‘a magical evening of live music, delicious food and incredible auction prizes, all whilst offering the most amazing rural views for you to watch the beautiful blue-moon that is set to appear that weekend’.
Some impressive auction prizes are lined up, which have been kindly donated by local businesses – additional prizes are also sought from anyone who would like to donate for the cause.
Dora Walls, the fundraising lead at Dove Cottage Day Hospice, said: "Our hospice costs £705,000 a year to run, and less than four per cent of this is funded by the government.
"That means that the remaining amount is raised through the generosity of the community.
"Supporting our Blue Moon Ball is a wonderful way to help us not only celebrate the work we have done since 1996, but also ensure that we continue to provide hospice care for the next 30 years and beyond.”
All are welcome to attend the ball whether they have a connection to the hospice or not.
