First applications come in for a share of the £10k Ragdale Hall Community Chest
The first applications have already come in for a share of this year’s £10k Ragdale Hall Community Chest.
The Melton Times has once again teamed up with Ragdale Hall Spa to make vital donations to charities, community groups, schools and sports clubs in the Melton area.

One of the first applications we received after the 2026 scheme was launched last week came in from Melton & District Indoor Bowls Club, who would like £500 from the fund.
The money is needed as part of a £25k project to replace the club’s old, unused outdoor clubhouse with a brand-new, larger wooden structure, which will also be offered to community groups and charities.

We’ve also had a request from Melton ReEngage, which supports the isolated elderly community with a monthly tea party and regular entertainment.
The volunteer-run group has asked for £400 to help pay for a planned trip on the Great Central Railway at Loughborough.
All applications need to outline how much money is required, what it would be spent on and how many people in the community it would benefit.
We want to help as many groups and organisations as we can so requests must be limited to between £100 and £500.
You will need to email [email protected] and include a contact name, telephone/mobile number and a brief outline of what your group does.
Applications must be made before the deadline of Thursday May 7 and a panel of judges will then sit down to decide who will receive a share of this year’s fund.
