Applications are now open for a share of the £10k Ragdale community funding pot

Applications for a share of the 2026 Ragdale Hall Community Chest are now officially open!

This is the 18th year the Melton Times has partnered with the award-winning Ragdale Hall Spa to boost charities, community groups, schools and sports clubs in the Melton area.

Our friends at Ragdale have once again put up a £10,000 cash pot to be allocated to some of the most worthy local projects and activities.

All applications need to outline how much money is required, what it would be spent on and how many people in the community it would benefit.

We want to help as many groups and organisations as we can so requests must be limited to between £100 and £500.

You will need to email [email protected] and include a contact name, telephone/mobile number and a brief outline of what your group does.

Applications must be made before the deadline of Thursday May 7 and a panel of judges will then sit down to decide who will receive a share of this year’s fund.

All beneficiaries will be invited to a cheque presentation night and reception at Ragdale Hall Spa on Tuesday June 9.

This unique funding scheme is primarily aimed at those organisations and projects that are self-funding or mainly dependant on external financial support.

It also acts as a showcase for the many volunteer-run groups which are so important to our community.

Cheque presentation night is always a deeply humbling occasion when we learn about the selfless work of local people.

We look forward to receiving the applications for a share of the 2026 fund.
