Stapleford Park Hotel to remain closed until July

Senior management at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel say it will not reopen the site, including the golf course and Tree Cottage Nursery, until July 1 at the earliest.

Director Renold Tang said: “With our government’s support to businesses we have been able to retain our entire team, many staff are enrolled on the coronavirus furlough scheme.

“Those who are not on the scheme continue to work from home and our core team ensure that the estate is secure and well maintained, ready for the reopening so that we may welcome everyone again.”

We reported earlier this year that the hotel’s directors had decided to close its 18-hole golf course on October 31 this year because of a dwindling membership.

But owners were keen to point out that there no threat to the future of the hotel, which is based around a 17th century stately home, and its other facilities, which include a luxury spa and a two AA rosette restaurant.
