Baubles and Bangles has enjoyed steady footfall in the five years it has traded on High Street.

But after enforced temporary closures and a shortage of customers since the coronavirus outbreak this year, Marc and Lynn Tempest have decided to close the shop for good.

A clearly emotional Lynn told the Melton Times: “The fact is we are just not making any money.

“We got some funding help at the start but it was nowhere near enough.

People are just not coming out to shop and we can’t blame them.

“We’ve thrown all the money we can at the business but it is just not viable anymore.”

The Tempests are selling all stock at present ahead of the closure, some of it at sale prices, along with fixtures and fittings.
