The technology, which has been introduced by Specsavers, in Sherrard Street, uses facial analysis to scan face shape and features.

Marshall Bradley, optometrist, said: “The technology, called Frame Styler, is fascinating.

“We always go above and beyond to make the experience in store as fluid as possible for customers and we have managed to go one step further with Frame Styler.

“As our glasses are arranged into three distinct categories – whisper, talk and shout – we hope the new tool might even help inspire our customers to experiment and broaden their perspective on what styles work for them.

He added: “Customers are loving it so far and we look forward to welcoming more people through the doors to try out this unique experience.”

The technology allows customers to see how they look wearing glasses from every angle. Some 36 frames will be recommended to each customer allowing them to narrow it down.
