The 2021 Melton Mowbray and Vale of Belvoir calendar will showcase the work of local photographers capturing some of the town and its villages’ events and landscapes. Each calendar costs £5.

Business coach Kerry Malster, a member of Rotary Enterprise, said: “Each year, we produce a high-quality calendar with stunning scenes in and around Melton, illustrating the 12 months.

“We do it to raise money so that we can support local enterprise through our business grant scheme. The coronavirus pandemic has been a game changer for everyone and we expect money is going to be tight for many businesses in the coming months.

“We sell the calendars throughout various retailers in the town – so it’s a real community event.”

Dozens of photos were submitted for last year’s calendar from local photographers and Melton’s Photographic Club, and the calendar raised more than £2,000.

David Morris, of Melton’s Rotary Club, said: “The group is a terrific asset to Rotary.

“The calendar is just one of many initiatives – it raises money but it’s also an opportunity to showcase the flair of local photographers. Their passion is developing ideas that they can bring to life to support local people and local businesses, to help them grow.”
