The news about the thriving park comes a week after the Melton Times revealed two established businesses on the site - Pera Consulting (UK) Ltd and Pera Technology Solutions Ltd - had both gone into administration.

Amongst the 15 new companies are several that have re-located from Grantham, Loughborough, Bedfordshire and Peterborough, alongside firms which have chosen the venue as the place to set up their new UK head offices.

Carrie Potter, sales and marketing manager for Pera Business Park, said: “To have 15 companies move on to the business park in a three-month period is fantastic and helps to highlight what a great facility and thriving business community is here in Melton.

“Our flexible approach and the ability to transform any office or industrial space to suit individual requirements allowing for future growth is what is attracting companies from outside the area, which is then allowing the companies to expand and recruit in Melton Mowbray. We offer an extensive support package for start-up companies allowing them to launch their business surrounded by a variety of like-minded companies.

“A recent move into advertising office-shares has had a great response and we are working alongside a number of new companies to get them settled into their new offices over the coming months.”

The 15 new companies have occupied office or industrial space, ranging from start-up companies to long established companies deciding to re-locate to Melton.

Amongst the start-ups is chartered certified accountants, Lenio Accounting, who launched their business in July and, following rapid growth, is already recruiting for additional staff.

Director Frankie Hunt said: “The impressive building, modern offices and central location, together with ample parking, really stood out to me as great benefits to my business.

“One of our key services is operating outside of the typical core hours which allows clients to come in and see us without disrupting their working day.

“The business park is accessible for tenants and their visitors 24/7 and this flexibility has allowed us to meet customer demand for out of hours support and meetings.”

Pera Business Park is more commonly known for having office space and meeting rooms to hire but the business park also has Grade A industrial space, and the flexibility to turn old offices and laboratories into purpose built industrial spaces. This appealed to local company Stace Roofing.

Managing director Andrew Stace said: “Moving into rented industrial premises was a big decision for us.

“It’s not a decision we could afford to get wrong. We had assumed that Pera wouldn’t be a suitable location for us, as it would be too office-based and too expensive.

“After six months of looking, we decided to have a look at Pera and we were amazed at the versatility that they have as a business park.

“Within six weeks, they had transformed a 1,200 sq ft office into a secure industrial storage unit for us, and provided us with temporary offices until our permanent offices had been re-fitted.

“There is also the potential for us to expand our space as we grow in the future. We’re very happy here, I would highly recommend that anyone thinking of taking the leap, comes and has a look.”

Sales director Chris Pavelin said: “We decided to re-locate primarily to improve the look and feel of our UK head office with the additional benefit of reduced commuting distances.

“We searched for suitable office space in Loughborough, Grantham and Melton Mowbray but nothing compared to the offer at Pera Business Park.

“With the emphasis on providing a business community rather than standard office space we discovered that everything was geared towards the customer from the provision of fully furnished and serviced office space with the additional facilities including mail room, gym and café.”

Lincolnshire & Rutland Education Business Partnership has recently set up a new office at Pera Business Park. Business support manager Nicola Langton said: “As The EBP expands into new geographic areas and widens its services to reach ever more young people, we decided that a satellite office in Melton Mowbray was a perfect Leicestershire base for our growing team.
