Entries open for the Melton BID Business Awards 2026
One of the things that makes Melton such a special place is the strength, diversity and resilience of our local business community.
From independent retailers and cafés to professional services, hospitality venues, leisure businesses and local producers, our town is packed with people who work incredibly hard to provide great products, excellent service and memorable experiences.
These awards have been created to celebrate the businesses and individuals who make a real difference to our town.
Whether it’s exceptional customer service, innovation, sustainability or simply going above and beyond every day, we want to recognise the people and organisations helping Melton thrive.
Nominations are now open, and businesses can either nominate themselves or be nominated by customers, colleagues and members of the public.
There are 16 award categories covering a wide range of sectors, including hospitality, beauty, health and wellbeing, professional services, arts and culture, tourism and local food production.
We’ll also be recognising outstanding individuals through our Business Person of the Year award, before crowning an overall Business of the Year for 2026.
One of the things I’m most excited about is that these awards give local people the opportunity to show their appreciation for the businesses they value most.
If you’ve received excellent service, enjoyed a fantastic meal, discovered a brilliant independent shop or been inspired by a local business owner, now is the perfect time to put them forward.
Nominations are quick and easy to complete and can be submitted through the Melton BID website until midnight on June 30.
The winners will be announced at our awards ceremony in September at The Harboro Hotel, which promises to be a fantastic evening celebrating the very best of Melton’s business community.
I would encourage everyone to get involved and help us shine a spotlight on the people and businesses that make our town such a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
