Teenagers learn singing and acting skills from experts ahead of Melton show

Around 40 teenagers turned out for a special workshop at Melton Theatre to learn new techniques from a West End professional.

Zoe Curlett helped participants develop their singing and acting skills ahead of a show on Saturday, organised by Melton’s SKY Theatre company, which she and the youngsters will perform in.

Jordan Lee Davies, formerly of the BBC TV talent show The Voice, also shared his expertise during the workshop.

The show on Saturday, at Melton Theatre, is set to feature a collection of musical songs infront on an audience for one night only.

Performing will be Zoe, Sophia Ragavelas, Carl Sanderson and Keiron Crook with help from the participants.

One of the directors of SKY Theatre Suzanne Forrester said: “These West End performers have been leads in massive shows such as Phantom of the Opera, CATS, Les Miserables and much more. The stage is set for a great night.

“The evening is also going to be a launch event to celebrate becoming thecommercial resident theatre company for Melton Theatre.”

Tickets for the show, whichs starts at 7.30pm, cost £13. There will be a complimentary drink and live music in the theatre foyer from 6.30pm.
