Hollywood star Liz Hurley set to open new retail units at Belvoir Castle

Elizabeth Hurley, star of movies such as Austin Powers and Bedazzled and TV show The Royals, is the special guest at the opening of The Engine Yard.

Stores began opening at the complex in May in a series of redeveloped buildings which were originally used by tradesmen as workshops for producing furniture, doors and windows for the castle.

Quality food, plants, clothing, accessories and gifts are sold in the outlets.

The day will also feature cooking demonstrations from leading chefs, including Rachael Green, performances from musicians and entertainers, a pop-up gin wagon by Leicester bar and bottle shop, 45 West.

The launch will also host the first of the Engine Yard’s ‘Countryside Corner’ events, where those with a passion for the country can take part in talks, debates and explore areas of interest.

But the star of the day will be former model Miss Hurley, also known as a former girlfriend of movie actor Hugh Grant.
