Robin Williams’s final film sees him play Nolan, a man haunted by loneliness and regret. One night he impulsively picks up a young gay hustler for company, an encounter that gradually unlocks the key to his true nature. Friday at 6pm and Wednesday at 8.30pm.

Ballard’s dystopian novel about society disintegrating within a socially stratified tower block follows Dr Robert Laing (Hiddleston), an affluent new tenant. As tensions build in the tower, it gradually descends into anarchy in this darkly hilarious drama. Friday at 8pm and Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm.

The Man Who Knew Infinity (12A)

Dev Patel stars as real-life mathematical prodigy Srinivasa Ramanujan, who left Madras for Cambridge in 1913. A grasp of a complex subject isn’t essential to the enjoyment of what is just as much a culture-clash and rites-of-passage drama. Monday at 5pm, Tuesday at 2pm and Wednesday at 6pm.

Zootropolis (PG)

This animated animal extravaganza is set in a magical mammal city. Judy Hopps (Goodwin), a determined young rabbit, enlists in the local police force. Once there, she takes on the mysterious case of a missing otter. To solve the case, she must form an unlikely partnership with Nick Wilde (Bateman), a con-artist fox. The pair embark on a delightful adventure in the animal kingdoms that make up Zootropolis. Saturday at 3.15pm and Sunday and Monday at 2.30pm.

Dad’s Army (PG)

The narrator announces, “The year is 1944. On the brink of defeat our nation has a secret weapon. These heroes are Britain’s last line of defence…” and we’re off and running with a fond recreation of the beloved BBC sitcom. Director Oliver Parker fashions a period-perfect tale of the somewhat picaresque, pratfall-prone Walmington-On-Sea Home Guard. Sunday and Tuesday at 5pm and Thursday at 6pm.
