Club welcomes a jazz quartet

A LEADING jazz guitarist will grace the stage at the Grantham Conservative Club on Thursday.

Pat McCarthy forms part of a quartet which is sure to entertain jazz fans.

Widely regarded as one of the country’s leading jazz players, Pat has been a popular choice as a guest musician with many bands.

Early inspiration came from listening to the recordings of Wes Montgomery, Barney Kessel and Django Reinhardt, and he remains a champion of the pure, classic jazz guitar sound. He is a composer and arranger, with commissioned works and music for film and television to his credit.

Pat will be performing with Ken Harley on bass, Bob Howard on drums and Andy Aitchison on violin.

Doors open at 7pm for an 8.30pm start. Admission for members is £10 and for non-members is £12 at the door.
