Birch Wood Special School to unveil new sensory garden at summer fete

A summer fete will be held by Birch Wood Special School on Saturday.

The event at (11am to 2pm) is being held to raise funds for equipment and to enhance school experiences for its large diverse community of students.

Attractions will include several stalls and activities such as a bouncy castle, penalty shoot out, bric-a-brac, hook-a-duck, pony petting and refreshments.

The school will also officially be unveiling its new sensory garden at 12noon, with the ribbon being cut by Mayor of Melton David Wright and former Leicester City player Muzzy Izzet.
