The seventh annual event will be held at Kesteven Rugby Club’s Woodnook ground on Saturday, July 1.

Previously held at Belvoir Cricket Club in Knipton, success and support for Knipfest has meant a growth in attendance year on year, and so a decision was made that the move to Kesteven Rugby Club will allow the festival to move forward to bigger and better things.

The new location will make it a lot easier for people in and around the Grantham area to get to and from the event and, as an added bonus, there is 4G mobile network coverage at Woodnook, something that was not available at Knipton, making arrangements for drop-offs and collections by family, friends or local taxis firms much easier.

Knipfest started in 2010 in memory of Julie Copley who that year lost her battle with cancer age 41. She had already raised in excess of £50,000 for cancer charities, and now with the Knipfest annual events the total exceeds £120,000-plus.

The charities supported by Knipfest are Cancer Research, St Barnabas Hospice in Grantham and Dove Cottage Day Hospice in Stathern.

The main sponsors and supporters for Knipfest 2017 are GIGER MEDIA, Builldbase (Grantham), Grace & Co, Treasure Transport, Yorkshire Bank (Grantham) and LUX42.

This year’s event will hopefully prove to be another massive success and details of the line-up will be announced over the coming weeks on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and on the official website www.knipfest.com

Knipfest spokesman John Copley said: “Many of us have been affected by cancer in some way and with your help we can make a difference. Please help us raise as much money as possible by buying your tickets to come along support this fantastic night of live music.”
