Mr Peet’s first book ‘Legal Brief’, which took him two years on-and-off to write, tells the story of a hard-working, intelligent barrister whose life and career takes twists and turns as he meets different people.

Mr Peet, who formerly worked as a sales manager for Nestle for many years, said: “When I received a copy of my book I couldn’t believe I’d written it. I’ve been trying to keep my feet on the ground. I’ve now written a second book and have started on my third.”

Mr Peet, who had previously written poems and church anthems, has dedicated his first book to his wife, Elisabeth, who spent endless hours editing chapter after chapter.

Legal Brief, published by Austin Macauley Publishers Ltd, is available via Amazon for £9.99 as a paperback and £15.99 as a hardback. Order at www.amazon.co.uk
