But don’t panic. If you haven’t yet registered but do want to join the festive fun - you can register on the day.

The action begins at 10.30am. Entrants will have the opportunity to take on a 2.5km, 5km or 10km route.

Registration, which includes a Santa suit and medal, is £12 for adults and children 13 and over, £5 for children under 12 and free for children three and under. Participants will be issued with a number, sponsor form and route map on receipt of registration.

Amanda George, fundraising administrator for Dove Cottage, said: “We’re feeling pretty excited. So far 356 lovely people have pre-registered to take part and we can’t wait to see them on the day.

“We’re hoping that 400 people enter which would be fantastic as last year, the first time we held the fun run and walk, we got 300.

“We have introduced a new 10km route and The Duchess of Rutland will be starting off this year’s event.”
