Melton Mowbray and Distritct Beavers soak up the sun as they compete in Sports Day
The Melton Mowbray and District Beavers Sports Day was held on Sunday in Play Close, and was competitive from the off.
Children had fun in the sun going head-to-head against their friends. Events included ball and spoon, sack race and a three legged race.
Assistant beaver leader Dawn Jones said: “The beavers had a fantastic time and the weather was really kind to us. They also enjoyed a picnic whilst the winners were verified who were 1st Waltham.”
A presentation was also made to 1st Old Dalby who have continued to grow their colony. They received a certificate from county commissioner Carol Black.
