Melton to turn up the heat for Chilli Fest

There will be around 20 stalls in Play Close between 10am and 5.30pm selling and producing chilli-based products from chilli cheese to chilli chocolate.

Supported by Melton Mowbray Business Improvement District (BID) and brought to the town by Chilli Fest UK, there will also be live music and entertainment as well as a man versus food competition.

Town centre manager, Lisa Brown said: “The Chilli Fiesta will be such a great attraction for the town. It will offer families who love their food something a little bit different.

“We’re pleased that Chilli Fest UK chose Melton, the Rural Captial of Food, to host the event. They’re hoping to attract crowds of around six to ten thousand people.

“Since we’ve been promoting the event through social media we’ve had some great reaction to it online. Some of the attractions will include a chilli cocktail bar, barbecue and much more.”
