Daws and Saddler through to Middy final

Keith Daws and Gary Saddler were the latest to qualify for the Middy Xtreme Autumn/Winter Final at Lake View Fishery next March.

Fourth place proved good enough for Daws after catching 51lb 1oz at last Wednesday’s qualifier which was won by Andy Searle with a good haul of 92lb 1oz caught on bread and maggot from marina peg 22.

Saddler topped a 12-man field at Saturday’s match when weights were down, his winning haul tipping the scales ay 40lb 5oz.

Brian Greenbury was in the top five three times last week, but was pipped to the Sunday Open win by Steve Haywood with 53lb 14oz.
