Hamilton Tennis Club's annual championships saw the culmination of the men's doubles section last week.

Mike Crane and Andy Stevens cruise through the first set of the final, 6-1, against Joe Jackson and Andy Douglas.

But the younger pairing gradually got to grips with their opponents’ strong serves to create some very hard-hitting rallies with no quarter given.

Joe and Andy won the second set 6-2 and continued to hold their nerve in the match tie-break to win it 10-7.

* Hamilton resume their Winter League fixtures after the half-term school holidays.
