Sherard and Frisby Schools clinch area tri-golf titles

Six teams from four primary schools took part in the Melton and Belvoir School Games Tri-Golf at Brooksby Melton College.

Teams from Captains Close, Swallowdale, Sherard and Frisby went up against each other in a round-robin circuit competition to see who could score the most points in the set amount of time.

In the Years 5 and 6 competition, Frisby Eagles clinched the win against Frisby Albatross, Swallowdale and Captains Close and will represent the area at the Leicestershire and Rutland Sport Summer Championships at Welbeck College today (Thursday).

Sherard School will also be taking a team after their Year 3 and 4 team beat Captains Close to take home the trophy.

Organisers wish to thank the Young Leaders from John Ferneley and leaders from the leadership academy at Brooksby College for helping to run the competition.
