Jack celebrates impressive win in bogey contest at Melton Golf Club

In-form Jack Griffin won the midweek Race to Woodhall Spa Bogey competition at Melton Golf Club on Friday.

He finished with a tremendous +6, five holes better than runner up Rob Smith and third placed Billy Kevan, who were separated by countback.

Rob Smith, Bev Blake, Billy Kevan and Oliver Duley shared the twos sweep.

l Chris Vose and Scott Cartwright won the betterball stableford format in the International Pairs competition and will represent Melton Mowbray in a regional final.

Chris and Scott scored 47 points to beat runners-up Billy Kevan and Richard South (45) and Karl Yates and Jon Wade (43), in third.
