Melton footballer Ollie Burke has retained his place in the senior Scotland squad for their forthcoming summer friendlies.

Burke made his debut for Gordon Strachan’s side in March, aged 18, when he came on as a substitute in the friendly win over Denmark at Hampden Park.

The speedy Nottingham Forest winger, who started his career at Mowbray Rangers, was named in a 28-man squad as the Scots travel for two friendlies in six days.

Scotland face Italy in Malta on Sunday before taking on France in a second friendly the following Saturday in Metz as both opponents warm up for the upcoming European Championships.
