Asfordby FC will look to resume their excellent start to the season as they return to action this weekend after a weekend off.

Jon Alsopp’s side dropped to fourth in Leics senior League Division One as Thurnby Rangers and Caterpillar took full advantage with five-goal wins on Saturday.

Asfordby head to Anstey Town on the back of four straight wins and with 16 points from a possible 21 in the league this season, while the hosts have lost their last three without scoring, including 6-0 defeats in their last two outings.

Holwell Sports Development Squad have had an inconsistent season with three wins and four defeats in Division One, and also return after a break with a home match against County Hall.

They will be hoping to gain revenge for their penalty shoot-out defeat to the same opponents in the league cup last month.

Both matches kick off at 3pm.
