Bottesford FC to host free girls' football coaching

Bottesford FC are marking Girls' Football Week with a free coaching session for any girl of primary school age.

The club is hosting the morning of coaching on Sunday at their Nottingham Road home from 10am to 11.30am.

The morning will be run by FA qualified coaches and is open to all abilities, including complete beginners. Shinpads and appropriate footwear, such as trainers, must be taken along.

Bottesford FC has developed a thriving girls’ section with two teams playing in the Leicestershire City and County League, and more groups are planned for next season.

Those intending to go along should text head of the club’s girls’ section Matt Burton on 07540 935478, or call Matt for more information.

Girls Football Week began on Monday and runs until Sunday.

The FA has set a target of 17,340 girls, aged 5 to 16, to take part nationwide.
