The visitors scored a great early goal through attacking midfielder and leading scorer Hope Metcalf and never looked back.

Asfordby continued to press and when Sophie Townsend found herself one-on-one with the defender, she took the player on and smashed the ball past the keeper with ease.

Metcalf then scored a great goal to make it 3-0 and put the game out of Harborough Town’s reach.

Amateurs withstood some late pressure and on the counter-attack the impressive Ruby Attewell used her pace to take on three players and slot home to make it 4-0.

Asfordby’s Erin Baker completed the win with a great goal to make it 5-0, and Evie McDaid was player-of-the-match.

Amateurs are now unbeaten in the league and are three points clear having only conceded one league goal all season.

They next face AFC Leicester away on Sunday, October 23.
