Turner brothers help Knossington extend unbeaten run

Knossington's unbeaten run continued at North Kilworth last weekend.

After some confusion over which side was fielding first, Knossington’s opening pair soon settled down and gave the visitors a solid start, Renwick hitting 51 and Copley 24.

Lewis Barnett continued the scoring with a knock of 30, while Earl and Rodenby made their mark in their first game of the season, scoring 11 and 14 respectively.

Greaves and Daniel Turner saw the innings out to take the total to 155.

Knossington’s challenge started well with Knight and Thorpe each taking a wicket in their first over, ending with two apiece.

Skipper Greaves then got in on the act with one of his own and then mixed it up to get all of the players involved.

Other wickets went to Earl (2), Turner, Archie Turner, Rodenby and Barnett to set up a 77-run win, with David Barnett outstanding in the field once more.

Only Turner had cause to lament, having been out-batted by his 14-year-old son Daniel and out-bowled by 11-year-old Archie.
