Batting first, Park lost Jeary early on, but a stand of 86 between Simons and Bailey set the platform for a big score.

When they both fell in the 40s only Mold and the evergreen Stu Beeken managed to reach double figures, leaving Park 160 all out.

After tea Tom Barnard took two early wickets to put Cosby on the back foot.

A very slow passage of play saw the visitors creep up to 92-3 from 36 overs before a youthful-looking Simons returned with a blistering spell.

He took five wickets for only six runs, and with Creed supporting at the other end, Cosby slumped to 109 all out.

On Saturday, Park are at home once again, hosting Electricity Sports Third XI (1pm).
