Thorpe’s total of 104 all out was built around Sam Wood’s 50.
In reply, Hickling needed three off the last ball, but a dot ball from young Chris Molds helped his side through to the final against Old Dalby at the All England Ground on Monday, August 1 (6.15pm start).

Hide AdIn another brilliant game Mash Tub squeezed home against Mars.
Gaz Potter (95) was the mainstay of the Mash Tub innings as they racked up 150-7, but Mars dug deep and were in with a chance until a fine last over from Dave Haylock took the Tub through by four runs.
The final will be played at Wymeswold on Monday from 6.30pm against Long Clawson.
* In the league, Sproxton and Hickling produced an exciting tie with both teams making 104.
Long Clawson posted 116 in their home match with Upper Broughton who got home by eight wickets thanks to Dale Radford (30), Ian Townsend (30) and Richard Randall (34 not out).
