Villagers' joy at Post Office return
It has been about five years since the village lost its battle to keep its Post Office.
But at long last, on Tuesday, May 31, at 1pm, there will be a service back in the village, provided from the village store on Main Street.

It’s understood services provided will include mail, cash withdrawals, travel money and telecoms.
Services will be offered from an open-plan Post Office counter, integrated into the retail counter.
Adrian Paling, Post Office field change advisor, said: “We recognised the gap in our existing branch network and are delighted to be opening a brand new local branch, with extended opening hours and a Sunday service, to meet the needs of the community around Whissendine.”
