Syston and District University of the Third Age enrols its 300th member
In little over a year, the Syston and District University of the Third Age (SADU3A) has already attracted more than 300 members and now offers more than 40 special interest groups for members to choose from.
SADU3A chairman, Colin Grimes, said: “My executive committee and I are delighted with the continuing response from Syston and surrounding communities to the opportunities to learn, laugh and live offered by the national U3A movement.
“We’re very clearly addressing a huge local need and, judging by the many complimentary comments we regularly receive, are succeeding in enriching many lives on all kinds of levels. Packed monthly general meetings and the ever-increasing number of groups being formed and successfully managed are proof positive of the wide beneficial social impact we are achieving.”
