Police respond to report of suspected cannabis plants at Melton property

Police have attended an address on Thorpe Road, Melton, today (Wednesday, July 6) after receiving a report of suspected cannabis plants at the property.

Police activity was noticed at a premises near the Thorpe Road/Saxby Road junction, near to the Gimbles furniture store.

A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 12.50am to an address on Thorpe Road after receiving a report of suspected cannabis plants. No-one has been arrested at this time. Enquiries are being carried out and are at an early stage.”
