Members of the Melton Mowbray Macmillan Cancer Support Committee fundraising group gathered for their annual general meeting at Sysonby Knoll Hotel on Wednesday.

The group presented the ladies from Northfield Close with a certificate of thanks to recognise their achievement of raising more than a £1,000 for Macmillan over the last few years.

Janet Gilchrist of the Melton Mowbray Cancer Support Committee fundraising group said: “They have held tea parties in the courtyard of Northfield Close where the friends and neighbours of Christine Wyness came together to have a good time in the summer sunshine and make money for Macmillan.”
